Universal EB-3 is a 2 1/4 Chromium 1 Molybdenum alloy designed for submerged arc welding of alloys of similar composition. Deposits have high strength and excellent creep resistance. Applications include large diameter piping and pressure vessels. Deposits require preheat, interpass temperature and postheat treatments for optimum mechanical properties
