Universal EB-2 is a 1 1/4 Chromium 1/2 Molybdenum alloy designed for submerged arc welding of base metals of similar composition. Deposits have high strength and excellent creep resistance. Applications include large diameter pipe and pressure vessels. Preheat, interpass temperature and postheat treatments are required for optimum mechanical properties.
