Alloy 182 is used for arc welding Inconel types 600 and 601 to themselves or one to another. Deposited weld metal meets the most stringent radiographic requirements. Alloy 182 dissimilar welding applications are: joining Monel type 400 to carbon steel; stainless steel to carbon steel; and Inconel type alloy 600 and Incoloy type alloy 800 to Nickel 200, Monel type alloy 400, carbon steel and stainless and Nickel 200 to stainless. Alloy 182 typical applications include welding ASTM B163, B166, B167 and B168. Electrode sizes 3/32 and 1/8 dia. can be used in all positions while the larger 5/32 and 3/16 dia. are used in the flat and horizontal positions.
