The 117 Series is a line of pressure, vacuum, differential pressure, and temperature switches with a die-cast aluminum, epoxy-coated Type 4X enclosure and hermetically sealed SPDT or DPDT snap action switches. It features stainless steel wetted components, NACE MR0175 compliance options, and terminal block wiring. The enclosure is rated for Division 2, Zone 2 hazardous locations with optional Zone 0 intrinsic safety and ATEX or EAC compliance. Pressure ranges extend from 30" Hg vacuum to 3500 psi, while temperature ranges span -120 to 640°F. Electrical ratings are 11 A at 125/250 VAC resistive, 5 A at 28 VDC, and 1 A at 48 VDC. Connections include 1/2" NPT for electrical and various NPT sizes for pressure, with an optional 1.5" flush mount for Tri-Clamp® systems. Weight varies from 1.5 to 6.5 lbs depending on model.
The 117 Series is simple to install and operate for alarm, safety and emergency shutdown applications where preserving process uptime, and protecting personnel and equipment are paramount. A hermetically sealed switch protects switch contacts from dust, water, corrosive gas, and other particulates. As an electromechanical switch, it can safely operate independently of the control system and switch reliably when called upon, free from potential communication errors or cyber concerns.
