The CLC016AJQ/NOPB is a monolithic data retiming phase-locked loop (PLL) designed for high-speed serial clock and data recovery. It features automatic rate selection (ARS) circuitry, allowing it to recognize and adjust to up to four different data rates ranging from 40 Mbps to 400 Mbps with a single resistor configuration. The device offers low output jitter of 130 ps (pp) at a data rate of 270 Mbps and has a fractional loop bandwidth of 0.25%. This PLL is capable of operating with either +5V or -5.2V power supplies and supports both single-ended and differential ECL interfacing. It includes functions for carrier detection and output muting to prevent random transitions when no data is present. The external loop filter allows customization of the loop response to meet specific application requirements.
