The INTUITY metal detector with closed, rectangular aperture primarily is used in the food industry for the inspection of piece goods on a conveyor belt or a material slide. It detects all magnetic and non-magnetic metal contaminations (steel, stainless steel, aluminium, ...) even if such contaminations are enclosed in the product. When a metal is detected a signaling device or a reject unit can be activated, or a signal is sent to the process control system.
The closed design of the INTUITY metal detector offers the advantage of a very high metal sensitivity throughout the complete tunnel area, which is why this metal detector is used for high precision detection tasks (e.g. in the food industry). INTUITY metal detectors can be combined with conveyor belts including various types of reject units (air-blast nozzles, pusher, reject slide, ...).
