The A8590 is an automotive-grade, 3.0 A asynchronous buck regulator designed for car audio and infotainment systems, operating from an input voltage as low as 3.4 V and withstanding up to 40 V surges. It is supplied in a 16-pin TSSOP package with an exposed thermal pad, features pulse frequency modulation for sub-50 µA quiescent current in standby, and includes integrated protection against overcurrent, overvoltage, and thermal shutdown. The device is AEC-Q100 qualified, operates over an ambient temperature range of -40°C to 125°C, and provides a power-on reset (NPOR) output with ±1.0% output voltage accuracy from 0°C to 85°C and ±1.5% from -40°C to 150°C.
