The A4986SLPTR-T is a dual DMOS full-bridge PWM motor driver in a 24-pin TSSOP package with an exposed thermal pad and a maximum height of 1.2 mm, designed for precise stepper motor control in full, half, and quarter steps. It supports a load supply voltage up to 35 V and output currents up to ±2 A per bridge, with integrated overcurrent protection, synchronous rectification, mixed decay mode for reduced noise, and sleep mode consuming less than 10 µA. Protection features include thermal shutdown with hysteresis, undervoltage lockout, and short-to-ground and shorted load protection. The device operates with a 3.3 V and 5 V compatible logic supply and maintains an ambient temperature range of -20 °C to 85 °C.
