The A1232 is a discontinued ultra-sensitive Hall-effect speed and direction sensor with True Power-On State (TPOS) designed for ring-magnet-based applications in automotive and industrial environments. It is packaged in an 8-pin TSSOP (LE) surface-mount package and operates over a temperature range of -40°C to +150°C. The device includes an integrated regulator for 3.3 V to 24 V supply operation, two bipolar Hall-effect switches aligned to better than 1 μm, and features such as reverse battery protection, short-circuit protected outputs, and ESD diodes. It is AEC-Q100 automotive qualified and RoHS-compliant with a matte-tin-plated leadframe.
