The Apollo 4020P Multiport serial communications controller enables up to four serial devices to be interfaced from one PCI Bus slot. It supports asynchronous data transfer rates up to 230.4 kbps, full duplex, simultaneously on all ports.
The Apollo 4020P Multiport high-throughput asynchronous controller supports SPARC Solaris, Rev. 8, 9, and 10; Solaris x86, Rev. 2.6, 7, and 8; and Linux kernal 2.4.

On-board hardware (out of band) and software (in band) flow control on all ports assures data integrity
