The PCA9671DB,112 is a 16-bit remote I/O expander designed for use with microcontrollers via the I¬=C-bus, supporting Fast-mode Plus (Fm+) communication at speeds up to 1 MHz. It offers a higher I¬=C-bus drive capability of 30 mA, allowing for more devices on the bus without additional buffers, and features a total package sink capacity of 400 mA, which is suitable for driving multiple LEDs directly. The device includes latched outputs with a 25 mA drive capability and defaults to input mode upon power-up. The PCA9671DB,112 operates within a voltage range of 2.3 V to 5.5 V and is tolerant to 5.5 V on its I/O pins.
