TK4-25-600 TackSert™ pins are press-in fasteners for attaching thin sheets to plastics and magnesium die castings such as AZ91D, eliminating the need for tapping or threaded inserts. They feature a tapered tip for alignment and a low-profile head, with simple press-in installation requiring no heat or ultrasonics. The part has a base panel length of 6 mm, a top sheet thickness range of 2.6 mm, a material hole size of 2.5 mm, and a centerline-to-edge distance of 3 mm. The pin is made from hardened 400 series stainless steel with a plain finish.
For attachment of thin sheets to plastics, common casting materials and other similar base materials. Also available in micro sizes, which are ideal for compact electronics.
