The BSO4-032-12 is a blind threaded standoff designed for permanent installation into stainless steel sheets with a minimum thickness of 0.040 inches. Made from specially hardened stainless steel, it offers corrosion resistance comparable to 300 series stainless steel, making it suitable for applications in outdoor equipment, medical devices, and environments exposed to corrosive elements. The standoff features a self-clinching design that allows for easy installation through a squeeze in properly sized round holes, ensuring a flush and smooth reverse side after installation. It is important to note that the fastener must be harder than the host sheet for proper installation, and care should be taken to follow specific installation guidelines to avoid issues such as thread binding.

Types BSO4 standoffs are for installation into stainless steel sheets as thin as .040”.
