Description
Paragon GF-10BD Glass Fusing Kiln Our first glass fusing kilns, the GF-series, have passed the test of time since 1985. They helped start the glass fusing revolution. “I’ve fired your kilns all over the country during my seminars. I never hear complaints about your kilns. They are reliable and last a hell of a long time.” —Dan Fenton, Fenton Glass Studio, Oakland, California The ten-sided GF-10BD comes with the 12 key Sentry digital controller. It fires on 240 volts. This kiln can be ordered for any electrical system world wide. The GF-10BD lid elements use a new element groove that eliminates element pins. The element coils are wider than the groove opening, so the elements stay in place without pins. A heavy galvanized steel base covers the reversible brick bottom completely. It folds up under the stainless case on all sides to strengthen the firing chamber. This is one more assurance that your Paragon kiln is built to last. You will be amazed at the convenience of digital firing. The reliable solid-state Sentry controller continually monitors the firing so you can spend your time productively without closely watching the kiln. (Please remember, however, to check the kiln during firing and to monitor it near the expected shutoff time.) The sealed touch pad keeps out dust and is easy to wipe clean. The controller has powerful features that you will enjoy using. Yet we have also worked hard to make the controller user-friendly. Do you ever wonder how much electricity your kiln uses? The digital controller can figure this for you with the press of a button. Find out how little a kiln actually costs to fire. Learn to conserve energy by experimenting with firing speed, load density, etc. Pinless heating elements in lid Four hand-lifts on 10-sided GF-series Lock-in lid support Galvanized steel base Reversible brick bottom Heavy-duty stand with mar-proof plastic feet The Fusion-10, GF-10B & GF-10BD Furniture Kit Glass must be fired on a ceramic shelf; never directly on the kiln firing chamber bottom. 1 - C-22 - 21” Round Shelf 4 - 1” wide Square Posts, ½” long 1 lb.
