G Series Anamorphic Prime Lenses Introduced in 2007, G Series lenses are a successful marriage of the compact convenience of the C Series and the optical innovations of the Primo® AL series. The standout optical features of the G Series lenses include high contrast, high resolution images, well balanced aberration control, excellent glare resistance, tightly controlled anamorphic squeeze ratio, low maintenance cylindrical layout, and minimal breathing. Panavision® fabricates each lens element to precisely match spherical components with a corresponding cylindrical set to achieve an unprecedented degree of optical performance. G Series lenses include engraved focus and T-stop scales appear on both sides of the lens, with focus and T-stop gears arranged in the standard Panavision locations. Add in the lightweight design, and you have a lens that delivers superior optical quality in an easy to use package. The G Series includes 25mm, 30mm, 35mm, 40mm, 50mm, 60mm, 75mm, and 100mm focal lengths with a typical speed of T2.6 and close focus under 3 feet. All the lenses in the G Series have a common front diameter of 4.440 inches to make changing lenses simpler. These lenses are optically comparable to Panavision E Series anamorphics, but in a lightweight, compact format similar to the C Series Primes and spherical Primo Primes.
