PCE-FM50 Force Gauge For push-pull or compression and tension force measurements up to 5000 g / 176.40 oz / 49.03 N PCE-FM50 is a push-pull force gauge for tension and compression force measurements. This digital force measuring device features a large, easy-to-read 5-digit LCD with 180° screen rotation and backlight. PCE-FM50 is ideal for handheld use as well as for universal test stand applications. Use of a universal test stand is advised for compression and tension force measurements performed in a laboratory or performed repeatedly at the end of a manufacturing production line. This high-resolution, high-accuracy force measurement instrument can be powered by 6 x 1.5 V AA batteries or a 9 V power adapter (sold separately - see accessories). To transfer the force measurement data to a PC, purchase of the optional software and RS-232 cable are required (sold separately - see accessories). Using Windows HyperTerminal, data is transferred quickly to a PC at the rate of one reading every 0.25 second.
