The PCE-CT 5000 Coating Thickness Gauge is an instrument for a nondestructive thickness measurement of coatings, such as varnishes, paints, etc. on steel / iron and non-ferrous metals. The extremely wide measuring range of the Coating Thickness Gauge goes up to 5000 µm or 200 mils. Gumming or plastic coatings for shock and impact protection can be controlled just as the thin paint coatings. The Coating Thickness Gauge belongs to the basic equipment for each production, workshop or general quality control systems in order to control the materials at the input and output or even to show the previous paint repairs carried out on the car. Due to its compact design, it is easy to handle the device and there is a possibility of a simple one-button operation. There is also no need to set a complicated measuring mode for the individual measurements. This device automatically detects the basic surface and sets the corresponding mode. The Coating Thickness Gauge is designed and suitable for measurements of non-magnetic coatings such as varnishes, plastics, chrome, copper, zinc, enamel, etc. on steel and iron and all insulating coatings such as varnishes, plastics, enamel, paper, glass, rubber, etc. on copper, aluminum, brass and stainless steel as well as anodized aluminum.
