The SNAP-AIPM-3 is a three-phase power monitoring analog input module designed for use with SNAP PAC rack-mounted controllers or SNAP PAC brains. It monitors AC RMS voltage and current across three phases, providing a comprehensive set of data including true power and volt-amps for each phase, as well as total true power sums for all three phases. The module operates within a voltage range of 85,Äì300 V RMS and a current range of 0,Äì5 A RMS for each phase, with the capability to calculate power factor based on the measured values. This module features 14 data channels, including both measured and calculated values, and is factory calibrated, requiring no user adjustments. It is designed to be installed on a SNAP PAC rack alongside other SNAP I/O modules and is compatible with firmware version 9.1b and PAC Project version 9.1a or newer. The SNAP-AIPM-3 also includes transformer and optical isolation to protect sensitive electronics from noise and transient voltages. The SNAP-AIPM not only measures volts and amps simultaneously, but also calculates true power and volt-amps. From these values, you can easily calculate power factor. The SNAP-AIPM-3 and SNAP-AIPM-3V measure volts and amps and calculate true power and volt-amps for each of the three phases, and in addition calculate true power sums for all three.
