SC 943 is a positive Fresnel lens with a focal length of 502.1 mm, a clear aperture of 549.7 mm, and a thickness of 2.5 mm, designed for infinite conjugate on the Fresnel side and a plano conjugate at 502.1 mm. The lens is manufactured from PMMA with a standard thickness of 2.5 mm, and the focal length is specified for light at 546 nm with a tolerance of ±5%.
Positive Fresnel Lenses can be designed as a collimator, collector or with finite conjugates. They are usually corrected for spherical aberration.
The designs can be trimmed according to customer requirements (within limits of clear aperture). It is possible to combine a Fresnel lens structure with other structures like diffusers or microlens arrays in the same part through double-sided structuring. Optical coatings for increased efficiency are possible.
