Newport MKS Laser Diode, Fiber Pigtailed, 1310 nm, 2 mW, 9/125 SMF, FC w/ Isolator PL13CF0021FCB-N

The PL13CF0021FCB-N Fiber Coupled Laser Diode consists of an InGaAs Distributed Feedback (DFB) lasers, having a fiber pigtail precisely attached for optimum coupling efficiency. This laser may be operated from –40 to 85°C while maintaining all of the DFB spectral characteristics. It has been qualified as per Telcordia GR-468. This 1310 nm center wavelength version has a typical 2 mW of output power and includes a back facet photodiode, and an integrated dual optical isolator. It is compatible with Newport’s 710 Temperature Controlled Mount. The 9/125 singlemode fiber pigtail is terminated with an FC fiber optic connector. Backed by 30 day return-for-credit when the product is returned in the original sealed bag with no sign of physical damage. The product is highly ESD sensitive so a grounding wrist strap, like the FK-STRAP, is suggested to prevent damage. Many Options in One Standard Package A multitude of center wavelengths - ranging from 405 nm to 1650 nm - and power levels are offered in one standard size package, which is compatible with Temperature Controlled TO-CAN Laser Diode Mount. All laser diodes include a back facet monitor photodiode. Connectorized Single-mode Output These laser diodes have a one-meter single-mode fiber pigtail. All fiber pigtails are terminated with FC/PC fiber optic connectors except LD-1310-31B with FC/APC. Caution on Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Each individual product is tested and characterized, and guaranteed to operate, prior to shipment. Certain products, such as laser diodes and high speed detectors are highly sensitive to ESD and it can happen from mundane activities such as connecting electrical cables. A grounding wrist strap, such as the , is recommended when handling this peoduct, as well as additional, properly installed, ESD protection equipment.
