The 6252 Xenon Arc Lamp is a simple drop-in replacement model which requires no alignment. A reflector has been integrated around the filament in order to produce a fully collimated beam. Electrical connection to the source housing is straighforward with a keyed connector in order to avoid installing in reverse polarity. The filament is filled with purified xenon at 5-20 bar, but the pressure will triple during operation. This 100 Watt Xenon lamp, with a 0.4 mm x 0.8 mm effective arc size, operates with the anode at the top. The small intense arc radiates like 5500-6000 K full illuminators with some xenon lines superimposed.
