Murphy & Read Spring Manufacturing Co. Torsion Springs (Standard) MT07-0MW

Description
Torsion Springs supply a force when you torque them or twist them.  They are typically cylindrical round wire springs but they can be made out of square, flat or rectangular wire and can be any shape or size.  The legs can be at any position and have virtually any bend twist or loop in them. Our stock springs all have straight legs and are either at 90°, 180°, 270° or 360° free position. Mandrel sizes range from .062"-1.078". It is important to specify either right hand wound or left hand wound for torsion springs. The load should always be placed so that the spring is 'closing'. The above drawing shows a left hand wound spring.
