Morgan Advanced Materials Insulating Fire Brick

Description
IFB holds a unique position within our portfolio of high temperature insulation products, in that it offers a unique combination of insulating properties with load bearing ability. IFBs are particularly suited to applications above 1000°C, where their thermal conductivity is as low as fibre based products (in some cases lower), but with structural integrity capable of dealing with erosive and abrasive environments. Not all IFBs are the same! Different manufacturing methods for IFBs produce products with differing structure and chemistry, which in turn deliver different performance characteristics. This means our customers receive a product which is the most energy efficient and has the most cost effective service life possible. We maintain the most complete range of manufacturing methods available, at our facilities in Augusta (USA), Casal (Italy) & Yixing (China) which allows us to produce the most complete range of IFB products on the market today. Morgan Thermal Ceramics’ IFB products are split into two ranges; the Insulation range and the Structural range. Insulation Range This comprises both IFBs produced by the Cast method at Casal & Augusta for service temperatures below 1300°C and those produced by the Slinger method at Casal for higher service temperatures. Our Cast IFBs in particular are truly market leading products, offering the lowest thermal conductivity available on the market today for applications above 1000°C, delivering big energy savings for customers in the Ceramics, CPI, Aluminium & Iron & Steel sectors. Structural Range This range focuses on the superior physical properties offered by our IFBs manufactured by extrusion at Yixing, with products available for a wide range of temperatures, plus our high temperature pressed IFB at Augusta for the very highest temperature applications above 1600°C. These products offer superior performance in load bearing applications and in conditions where abrasion from mechanical abuse or flow of hot gases is severe. We pride ourselves on being the number 1 producer of IFB in the world offering the widest network of global distribution, the widest geographical manufacturing base and the largest, most experienced team of dedicated IFB technical support in the industry.
