CAMAC® structural armour is made from unique composite materials and resin formulations. It is 50% lighter than equivalent steel alternatives with reduced parasitic mass and offers better protection against behind armour effects.
CAMAC® structural armour is used in the manufacture of light armoured vehicles and in aviation and maritime applications. It is upgradeable with CAMAC® appliqué systems to meet a range of threats and multi-hit requirements. It is fully fire and corrosion resistant, performs across the full range of environmental conditions and is a key enabling technology for platforms where weight is at a premium.
CAMAC® Structural Armour is used in the NP Aerospace Phoenix Concept Demonstrator and was chosen by Supacat in the development of their SPV400 Light Protected Patrol Vehicle. In both cases, structural composite armour is the enabling technology for the delivery of outstanding survivability in a light vehicle.
