The BX-3 Eccentric Guide Roller Bushing from Modern Linear Incorporated features a diameter of 0.990 inches and an inner diameter of 0.4722 inches. It is designed with an eccentric mounting hole that allows for adjustable clearance between the wheel and track by rotating the bushing on its fastener. The bushing has a knurled face to enhance its holding ability and prevent slipping once locked into place, which is particularly beneficial in applications subject to vibrations or shifting loads. Constructed from carbon steel with electroless nickel plating, the BX-3 bushing is suitable for various linear motion applications. It is compatible with standard fasteners and is designed to work in conjunction with both adjustable and stationary bushings for optimal performance.
Modern Linear Bushings are used in conjunction with our guide rollers to facilitate mounting and incorporation into a rolling carriage. The concentric bushing, also referred to as stationary, acts as a stand-off and compliments the spacing of the eccentric, or adjustable bushing. Most applications utilize a combination of both adjustable and non-adjustable bushings.Modern Linear adjustable bushings incorporate a unique feature designed to improve performance. The face of the mounting surface is knurled to resist slipping once locked into place. This feature improves the holding ability of the bushing and guide roller once it has been adjusted, eliminating bushing slip, a leading cause of maintenance in this type of linear system. This is especially helpful in applications where vibrations are present or loads are shifting.Customer supplied fasteners are used to create the carriage assembly. The adjustable bushing has an offset hole for the fastener. The offset from the center line equals the maximum distance of adjustability. The minimum adjustable range is 0.012 inches for the size 1 bushing, and the maximum adjustable range is 0.060 inches for the size 4XXL bushing. Modern Linear guide roller bushings are designed to accept common fasteners. When assembled, the hex head is turned to adjust the fit of the guide roller to the track. The fasteners are tightened down to lock the bushing in place, when ideal fit is achieved. When possible, concentric bushings should be positioned to carry the majority of the load. This offers maximum versatility of carriage design. The adjustable and stationary bushings are available for each of the five guide roller sizes. Standard bushings are made from 4L12 steel with an electroless nickel plating. 304 stainless steel bushings are also available. Standard height bushings are designed to accept a standard open-end wrench to make adjustments. Low head bushings are available for compact applications.Additio
