Midwest Brake Flywheel Brakes

Description
Flywheel Brakes Midwest Brake designs and manufactures flywheel brakes and flywheel brake shoes for manufacturers of equipment and for the aftermarket. Flywheel brakes are used to stop the flywheel from turning when a clutch has been disengaged and the motor is shutdown. Typically, these brake systems are installed on stamping, forging and metalforming equipment. Flywheel brakes are required for presses due to safety regulations. By stopping the flywheel from turning more quickly than letting it coast to a stop, time is saved when if minor repairs, die changes or adjustment to the machinery needs to be made. The brake shoes designed for these brake assemblies are all easily removed and relined for repeat use. We offer spare shoes should you require them.
