The NBS-50 is a cryogenic noise standard for 33.0 to 50.0 GHz, using a WR-22 waveguide horn to achieve an output noise temperature of 76.03 K with an accuracy of +0.27/-0.43 K. It operates with a liquid nitrogen bath and includes an automatic nitrogen purge to eliminate helium requirements. The system maintains low reflection loss and eliminates the need for annual calibrations by being a primary broadband standard. Accessories include a precision thermometer, barometer, and compatible ambient temperature termination and switch options.
