Johnson and Allen developer is a white mobile liquid under white light which is applied in a thin coat (Usually by aerosol) to develop visible red and fluorescent penetrant products. Large defects usually appear instantly, while smaller defects may require up to 10 minutes to develop. After inspection the developer should be removed using a Hydrocarbon or Acetone based penetrant cleaner.
For large inspection parts we recommend buying penetrant developer in bulk and applying via a compressed air gun.
JAD-2 (Johnson and Allen Developer) is available in aerosols and 5 Litre bulk.
This product uses a Acetone base and is quick drying but flammable. JAD Complies with BS EN ISO 3452-2 and is a type 2 classification.
Aerosols are available individually or in boxes of 10.
