Jergens, Inc. Ball Lock® Liners 49842

Description
Locating repeatability will determine if (1) primary and (1) secondary or (2) primary liners are needed. With (2) primary liners, repeatability of ±0.0005" (±0.003mm) can be maintained if the (2) holes for receiver bushings are held to a centerline distance of ±0.0002" (±0.005mm) tolerance. Features, Benefits, & Product Specifications: Material: 52100 Steel Finish: Black Oxide Heat Treat: 62-64 RC Operating Temperature Range: -20°F to 400°F (-30°C to 200°C) On Installation of Press Fit Liners & Back Mount Style Receiver Bushings: To alleviate the possibility of binding the shank in the bore, the maximum interference fit between bore and bushing O.D. should not exceed 0.0005" (0.013mm).

Datasheet
Datasheet Summary
Powered by GS/AI

Ball Lock¬Æ Liners, part number 49842, are designed for use in workholding applications requiring high precision and repeatability. Made from 52100 steel with a black oxide finish, these liners are heat-treated to a hardness of 62-64 RC, ensuring durability and strength. They operate effectively within a temperature range of -20¬8F to 400¬8F (-30¬8C to 200¬8C). The product allows for a repeatability of ¬±0.0005" when using two primary liners, provided that the holes for receiver bushings maintain a centerline distance tolerance of ¬±0.0002". Installation guidelines specify that the maximum interference fit between the bore and bushing outer diameter should not exceed 0.0005" to prevent binding. These specifications make the Ball Lock¬Æ Liners suitable for applications requiring precise alignment and secure mounting in various machining environments.
