Jergens part number 27039 is a stainless steel spring plunger designed for reliable performance in various applications. It features a single-unit construction that eliminates the need for a set screw, reducing the risk of lost springs and ensuring consistent operation. The plunger is made from 303 stainless steel, providing durability and resistance to corrosion. It has a hex drive in the rear for easy insertion and conforms to TCMA dimensional standards. The plunger tips are color-coded to indicate the force type, with silver indicating light force and black indicating heavy force. Special materials and sizes can be requested, making it adaptable for specific project requirements.
Jergens Spring Plungers, unlike conventional spring plungers, are machined in one piece. The spring is assembled from the top so that there is no need for a set screw. Our Spring Plungers do not have a set screw that can loosen or separate from the plunger body. The advantage is no lost springs and no need for “easy-out” tools. When adjusting Solid Drive, you can be sure the plunger body is turning and not a set screw.
