Indelac Controls, Inc. Internal Battery Back-Up Electric Actuator SNS10

Description
Enclosure options include: NEMA 4, 4X, 7 and 9. The heavy-duty sand-cast aluminum enclosure has a thermally bonded ultraviolet resistant polyester powder coating that not only enhances its appearance but also is a tough corrosion resistant coating. Anodizing and epoxy coatings are offered as well. NEMA 7 and 9 enclosures are perfect when the application requires equipment rated for Class I Groups C & D and Class II Groups E, F & G div. I and II environment. Despite a hostile environment, the Safe and Secure built in this explosion-proof enclosure can get the job done and lower the overall risk factor of the installation. Safe & Secure Series is available in 115Vac, 230Vac, 12Vdc, 24Vdc, and 24Vac operating voltages to guarantee electrical compatibility and reliability with any process control around the world. It is equipped with 300 series stainless steel output shaft and heavy duty spur gear drive which, as in all ICI electric actuators, can withstand stall conditions without suffering gear failure.

Datasheet Summary
Powered by GS/AI

The SNS10 is a battery-backed electric actuator designed for critical applications, offering fail closed, fail open, or continuous operation during power loss. It delivers 1,000 in-lb (113 Nm) torque with a 15-second cycle time for 90° rotation and operates at 100% duty cycle. The unit includes a 12V 0.8 Ah rechargeable sealed lead-acid battery with a minimum 4-year standby life and a trickle charger. Mounting complies with ISO 5211 F07 & F10 standards with a 17mm star drive, and it features a universal mounting design. Enclosure meets NEMA 4 standards with optional NEMA 4X, 7, and 9 ratings. Weight is 22 lb (10 kg). Operation temperature range is -40°F to 150°F (-40°C to 65.6°C), with optional heaters for lower temperatures. Manual override is provided via a declutching hand wheel, and position feedback is available through snap-action SPDT switches rated 15A at 250Vac.
