Harsco Industrial IKG (IKG) line of Mebac® (Metal Bonded Anti-Slip Coating) Safety Products are a valuable part of any slip and fall loss prevention program.
IKG’s versatile Mebac® products are manufactured using abrasive grit particles encapsulated in metal spray arc that is bonded to an aluminum or steel substrate. Mebac® offers a consistently high coefficient of friction under a wide range of conditions, even when wet with lubricants such as brake fluid and oil, providing margins of safety that are unmatched in the industry. Mebac® is durable and low maintenance; apply it once and it provides slip resistance for years. IKG’s Mebac® Safety Products are listed as slip resistant by Underwriters Laboratories.
Mebac® is available only from IKG on standard size material, stock and custom fabricated plate and grating, on various nosing types for the leading edge of individual stairs in a stairway, as Mebac® Z-Tread steel stair steps, on ladder rungs and rung covers, or for application to customer supplied material.
IKG offers five grades of Mebac® slip-resistant coating, from extremely aggressive to moderately aggressive. All grades of IKG Mebac® exceed the minimum .60 C.O.F. required by many municipalities.
