The L11913 is an infrared LED designed for optical encoders, emitting collimated light with a peak wavelength of 820 to 880 nm at 20 mA. It delivers a light output of 2.5 to 3.4 mW and has a forward voltage of 1.45 to 1.7 V. Maximum forward current is 80 mA, with power dissipation limited to 160 mW. Operating temperature ranges from -30 to +85 °C, and storage from -40 to +100 °C. The light spot size at 13 mm distance is 3.8 to 6.0 mm full width at half maximum. The cutoff frequency is 10 to 20 MHz. The LED is mounted in a compact package with lead spacing of 2.54 mm and stem diameter of 5.4 mm.
