HG Optronics, Inc. UV Fused Silica Corner Cube Retroreflectors Prisms

Description
Corner Cube Prism also called Retroreflector. It has three mutually perpendicular surfaces and a hypotenuse face. Light entering through the hypotenuse is reflected by each of the three surfaces in turn and will emerge through the hypotenuse face parallel to the entering beam regardless of the orientation of the incident beam. For its special performance, it is often used to the distance measurement, optical signal process and laser. 2.1. What is cube corner prism? Cube corner prism has three mutually perpendicular surfaces and a hypotenuse face. It operates on the principle of total internal reflection (TIR). A beam entering the effective aperture is reflected by the three roof surfaces and emerges from the entrance/exit surface parallel to itself. This property is independent of direction of the retro-reflector, within acceptance angle limitations. For applications in which either the acceptance angle for TIR is exceeded, or the reflecting surfaces can not be kept sufficiently clean for TIR, a metal or dielectric coating can be applied to the reflecting surfaces. 2.2. What kinds of materials can HG OPTRONICS use to cube corner prism? N-BK7 glass , UV Fused silica or other optical glasses.
