75% - 80% of our Roto-Grind activities and installations have homes in the plastics recycling industry. Materials such as rigid plastic scrap, film and/or fiber can be processed directly or compounded to produce pellets for new product manufacturing.
Roto-Grind shredders have made it possible to size reduce baled or loose film scrap for direct feed into pelletizing extruders. Depending on the downstream processing equipment, Roto- Grind shredders are commonly used to size reduce bulky or mixed scrap into a more efficient form for granulation and final size reduction. As for film recyclers, Roto-Grind shredders are utilized to size reduce and control feed materials for downstream densification and/or pelletization.
