With the aid of temperature-resistan t bellows vacuum cups, robots are able to extract hot plastic parts from the injection mould. Since most of these parts are still painted or coated, only bellows vacuum cups that are low-marking, free of paint wetting impairment substances (PMS) or mould release, and made of materials such as Thermalon® or HNBR may be used. FIPA bellows vacuum cups made of Thermalon® (series SKT-B1 with 1.5 bellows, series SKT-B2 with 2.5 bellows) and HNBR (series SKH-B1 with 1.5 bellows , series SKH-B2 with 2.5 bellows) are heat-resistant up to 160° C. The bellow is able to compensate height and angle differences between the vacuum cup and plastic part – perfect for gripping uneven or slightly curved injection moulded plastic parts.
