ExxonMobil™ PP1572 is a nucleated polypropylene homopolymer resin for compression and injection molding of caps, closures, and rigid packaging. It is supplied as natural-colored pellets and exhibits a melt mass-flow rate of 2.1 g/10 min at 230°C/2.16 kg, a density of 0.900 g/cm³, a tensile strength at yield of 37.9 MPa, a flexural modulus of 1870-2050 MPa, a notched Izod impact of 63 J/m, a deflection temperature under load of 112°C at 66 psi, and a Rockwell hardness of 104. It is autoclave, steam, and ethylene oxide sterilizable, with good mold release and high slip properties.
