DP11 metal-polymer plain bearings are designed for dry-running applications with high-frequency, low-amplitude oscillating movements, suitable for linear, oscillating, and rotating motion. The bearing features a bronze backing with a sintered porous bronze layer and a PTFE-based sliding layer containing solid lubricants. It operates between -200°C and 280°C, supports static loads up to 250 N/mm² and dynamic loads up to 140 N/mm², and achieves a maximum sliding speed of 2.5 m/s under dry conditions with a pU factor of 1.0 N/mm²·m/s. The coefficient of friction ranges from 0.04 to 0.25 in dry operation. The material is lead-free and compliant with RoHS, WEEE, and ELV regulations, and meets FMVSS 302 flammability standards. Shaft surface roughness should be between 0.3 and 0.5 μm, and unhardened shafts are acceptable, though HB > 200 improves life. The thermal expansion coefficient is 11×10⁻⁶/K parallel to the surface and 30×10⁻⁶/K normal to it.
