GGB DU™ Cylindrical Bushes - Inch Size 1215DU

Description
Our metal-backed, PTFE-based (polytetrafluoroethy lene) polymer bearing materials have a common structure, consisting of a metal backing bonded to a porous bronze sinter layer. This bronze sinter layer is impregnated and overlaid with the filled PTFE bearing lining. The metal backing provides mechanical strength, while the bronze sinter layer provides a strong mechanical bond between the backing and the bearing lining. This construction promotes dimensional stability and improves thermal conductivity. These polymer bearing linings, being predominantly PTFE, offer exceptionally low friction.

DU Cylindrical Bushes - Inch Size, specifically part number 1215DU, are designed for a variety of industrial applications including aerospace, agricultural equipment, and food processing machinery. These self-lubricating bushings provide excellent wear resistance and low friction performance under a wide range of loads, speeds, and temperatures, making them suitable for dry running conditions. The material is also appropriate for lubricated applications, supporting linear, oscillating, and rotating movements. The bushings are approved to Federal Aviation Regulations FAR 25.853 and FAR 25.855, indicating their suitability for use in interior aircraft applications. They can accommodate maximum dynamic loads of up to 36,000 psi and static loads of 50,000 psi, with a maximum operating temperature of 536¬8F. The product features a sliding layer made of PTFE and fillers, a porous bronze sinter layer, and a steel backing, which together enhance mechanical strength and thermal conductivity. Engineers considering this product should note its versatility across various sectors and its compliance with stringent aviation standards.
