Glands for use with screened cable are designed to connect the screen of the cable to the enclosure screening system. This is achieved by the use of 2 tapered rings applying force onto an endless spring washer against the screen, to ensure a positive contact. Assembly is simple by exposing the screen, applying spring and washers then tightening the brass cable gland assembly. The gland bonds the screen to the housing.
