A 1C33MYK20018H is a 20° pressure angle bevel gear with a 1:2 ratio, module 2, 18 teeth, and an H8 bore tolerance of 18 mm. It is made from AISI 1045 steel with tooth surfaces induction hardened to HRC 48-53 and finished in black oxide except on the bore and tooth surfaces. The gear has a face width of 12 mm, hub diameter of 29 mm, hub projection of 15.12 mm, and a keyway for an M5 key. Two M5 set screws spaced 120° apart secure the gear on the shaft. The pitch diameter is 39.58 mm and overall length is 36 mm.
Bevel gears are conically shaped gears produced as straight, spiral, and zerol bevel gears. The gears are commonly mounted on shafts that are perpendicular to each other. They are used to transfer mechanical energy between intersecting shafts. The shaft angle can be any angle, but bevel gears are typically used to transfer power at 90°, and the teeth are milled to interlock. As a bevel gear manufacturer, SDP/SI produces bevel gears using the Gleason® / Coniflex® (cutting) manufacturing methods.
Bevel Gears Industries & Applications
