A 1B 4MY15020 is a straight miter gear with 20 teeth, a module of 1.5, and a 20° pressure angle, made from brass (ASTM B-16). It has a bore diameter of 12 mm with an H8 tolerance, a face width of 7 mm, and a hub diameter of 15.5 mm with a hub projection of 7 mm. The pitch diameter is 30 mm, and the outside diameter is truncated at 31.5 mm (actual 32.1 mm). The gear is designed for 90° shaft intersection and mates with identical gears.
Standard straight-tooth miter gears are a type of bevel gear set that has a 1:1 ratio, identical dimensions, and the same number of teeth, allowing them to mate with one another and transmit rotational motion at a 90° angle. Although the number of teeth in a spiral miter gear set is the same, the twisting directions are different, preventing them from mating with one another. Our straight-tooth miter gears are manufactured utilizing a CNC Coniflex® interlocking cutting system. Spiral miter gears must be paired with one right-hand thread and one left-hand thread.
