Achromatic Waveplates provide a constant phase shift independent of the wavelength of light that is used. Achromatic Waveplates are formed by using two different birefringent crystalline material quartz and magnesium fluoride. The relative phase difference between the two axes is either λ/4 or λ/2. The combination of quartz crystal and magnesium fluoride can minimize the effect of wavelength on phase delay, and a nearly flat spectral response can be obtained in the whole wavelength range of Achromatic Waveplates. The flat response of an Achromatic Waveplate is ideal for use with tunable lasers, multiple laser-line systems, and other broad spectrum sources. The fast axis direction of the waveplate is engraved on the outer shell. •Material: Crystalline quartz and Magnesium Fluoride •Diameter: 25.4±0.1 •Thickness: 6 •Retardation Accuracy: λ/100~λ/150 •Coatings: Multiple Layers AR coating
