We offer a broad line AC and DC rated film capacitors for industrial, military and medical applications ranging from standard AC motor run types, to custom DC pulse applications. Only the industry’s highest grades of film dielectric are used to ensure the best possible performance. We are one of just a few remaining manufacturers of paper and film combination dielectrics for high performance power conversion and power supply applications.
Metallized Polyester Film Capacitors, Arc Suppressor⁄Snubber Network, Q⁄QRL Series, -55 to +85°C
“ARCING”, “SPARKING”, and “TRANSIENTS” often cause premature failures in relays, switches, thyristors, triacs, contactors, and related products. QUENCHARC® extends operating life when properly selected and applied. General Specifications. Operating Temperature: –55°C to +85°C at full rated voltage. Voltage Range: 200 VDC (125 VAC) to 600 VDC (250 VAC). Capacitance Values: 0.1, 0.5, 1.0 μF. Resistor Values: 22, 47, 100, 150, 220 ohms. Tolerance at 100 KHz: Capacitance — ±20%; Resistance: — ±10%. Construction: Metallized polyester in series with a carbon composition resistor. Case: Coated with a flame retardant epoxy. Dielectric Withstand: Units shall withstand a DC potential of 1.6 times the DC voltage rating. Testing conducted at +25°C. Test Method and Performance. DC Life Test: Units shall withstand a test potential of 125% of the rated voltage for a period of 500 hours at 85°C. A failure shall consist of capacitance change >5% or a DF greater than original limits. Long Term Stability: The capacitance shall not change more than 2% when stored at ambient temperature and humidity for a period of two years or less.
