Evaporators & Condensers Evaporators and condensers can be used in a variety of applications such as vapor compression systems for military vehicles, commercial aircraft, electronics cooling, fuel cell, power generation, waste heat recovery, and general industries. Evaporators and condensers can be utilized separately or combined in a closed loop system. For example, within a vapor compression system, an evaporator absorbs ambient heat which changes the state of the refrigerant from liquid to a gas. The gas transfers heat to the condenser where the heat is released and the refrigerant condenses back to a liquid. Aavid utilizes proprietary software and employs vacuum brazing and other manufacturing techniques to develop and produce optimized, compact, lighter weight systems.
