Altech Ring Sensors are used for a variety of applications including punching and stamping operations to detect small metal parts and for the identification of metallic contamination in bulk materials. The sensitivity of all Altech Ring Sensors is given in terms of a steel metal ball diameter. This is the minimum diameter steel ball that the sensor will detect. Non-ferrous materials will require larger diameter parts for correct sensor detection.
