Product Description UR5044 flame retardant polyurethane resin is a UL94 approved two part system has been developed for potting and encapsulation of electronics. Once cured it has a dark blue finish and is soft enough that it can be dug out if required for rework and repair. Its flexibility and its digoutable characteristics make it an ideal compound for use in prototype electronics, or potted units which may require rework or repair within their life cycle. Its excellent flexibility is maintained even at temperature extremes as low as -70°C and up to 120°C so is ideal for applications where the temperature cycles. The softness and flexibility combined with the temperature range makes it a good alternative to silicone resin systems. UR5044 also has excellent resistance to water making it a good choice for marine or outdoor applications. It also has good thermal conductivity so may be used for devices requiring thermal management.
