The AT120 Airducer¬Æ Transducer operates at a best frequency of 125 kHz with a minimum transmit sensitivity of 107 dB re 1¬µPa/V at 1 m and a minimum receive sensitivity of -169 dB re 1V/¬µPa. It features a sensing range from 15 cm to 7 m, with a typical range of 20 cm to 3 m. The transducer has a beamwidth of 12¬8 and can handle a maximum driving voltage of 800 Vpp. It is designed for a wide operating temperature range of -40¬8C to 90¬8C and weighs 20 g. The housing is made of glass-filled polyester, and the acoustic window is constructed from glass-reinforced epoxy, ensuring durability in various applications. The AT120 is suitable for level measurement, automation control, proximity sensing, obstacle avoidance, and robotics. It is also available in a PVDF housing option for chemically aggressive environments and can be equipped with a 10 KOc thermistor for temperature compensation.
Airmar’s 125 kHz AT120 ultrasonic air transducer is a critical component in the development of measurement systems for liquid or solid levels, automation control, proximity sensing and obstacle avoidance. AT120’s rugged PVDF housing provides lasting durability on equipment such as asphalt pavers, agricultural machinery, water/wastewater systems, and in chemically aggressive environments.
