Course overview:This course covers the regulatory and legal issues involved in hazardous material management. Federal regulations that are covered include the Clean Air Act (CAA), the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), and the Clean Water Act (CWA). State regulations that are covered include the Texas Water Code, the Texas Health and Safety Code, and Texas Natural Resources Code, among others.
This course has two lessons:
• Lesson 1: Major Federal Laws and Guidance; and
• Lesson 2: Major State Laws and Guidance.
This is the second course in the Hazardous Materials Management series.
Target audience: Members of all State agencies may take this course; however, know that this is not a TC3 course and all of the information provided is specific to Texas.
Learning outcomes: Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:
• Identify the Federal regulations involved in hazardous material management; and
• Identify the State regulations involved in hazardous material management.
