Course overview: An Environmental Permits, Issues, and Commitments (EPIC) sheet is a summary of resolved and unresolved environmental issues and commitments that must be included in all Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E;) packages as part of a bid proposal.
This course explains the purpose of the EPIC sheet, identifies how to use EPIC guidance to document a project’s environmental issues, and analyzes the risks and benefits of the document. It also provides information on the roles and responsibilities in filling out the EPIC sheet.
Target audience: Members of all State agencies may take this course; however, know that this is not a TC3 course and all of the information provided is specific to Texas.
Learning outcomes: Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:
• Explain the purpose of the EPIC sheet;
• Identify how to use EPIC guidance to document the environmental issues of a project;
• Analyze the risks and benefits of the EPIC sheet; and
• Identify the different roles and responsibilities in filling out the EPIC sheet.
